Andorra is a tiny principality high in the Pyrenees between France and Spain. Its capital, Andorra la Vella, is the highest capital city in Europe, and the country is known for skiing, hiking and tax-free shopping.
Andorra has a mountain climate with snowy winters, ideal for skiing from December to April, and mild, sunny summers that are perfect for hiking.
Why Choose Andorra?
With well-equipped ski resorts such as Grandvalira, hundreds of kilometres of hiking trails, Romanesque churches and duty-free shopping, Andorra packs a lot into a small area. It is safe, clean and easy to combine with a trip to Barcelona or the south of France.
Andorra Visas
Andorra does not issue its own tourist visas and has no airport. It can only be reached by road through France or Spain, so travellers must meet Schengen entry rules. Anyone who needs a Schengen visa should obtain a multiple-entry Schengen visa, because leaving Spain or France for Andorra and coming back counts as a second entry into the Schengen Area.
Tourist Entry
Visitors may stay up to 90 days on the basis of their Schengen entry; no separate Andorran visa is required.
Residence and Work Permits
For longer stays, Andorra issues residence permits, including active residence (work or business) and passive residence for financially independent people.

Visa Fees and Processing Time
There is no Andorran visa fee. If you need a Schengen visa, the standard fee is €90 for adults, and you should ask for a multiple-entry visa. Residence permit fees are set by the Andorran Immigration Department.
Visa rules can change at short notice. This guide reflects the rules in force in 2026; always confirm the latest requirements with the official immigration website or embassy of Andorra before you travel.
